Thanks to Katherin, found a bug caused by misagreement in conventions of indexing of endcaps in SpdEcalECPoint (-1/+1) and SpdEcalMCHit (0/1). This caused an issue where an endcap cluster consisted of cells with EndcapID = -1, despite the cells being in endcaps

Fixed a bug where baskets in ECAL barrel in Z direction were not centered, thanks to Ruslan. The problem was that I didn't take into account the clearance of baskets at the edges of barrel and only the clearance between baskets

Removed the hardcoded values for geometry parameters, instead getting actual parameters used in simulation

fixed the X/Y position of reconstructed hit in barrel and Z of reco hit in endcap so that the reconstructed hits correspond to the cell entry
